Upgrading the clutch

Is it possible to upgrade the clutch on a 97 Supercab/Long Bed with a 4.6 and 3.55's in order to increase the towing capacity?

The manual says that the max trailer weight that I can tow is 3300. I need a lot more capability.

Thanks

Do a search on the Web for Centerforce Clutches. The Series 2 is the clutch that they recommend for towing. I have used them over the years with good results. Give them a call their tech dept was pretty good, its been a few years since I've used one, but they are good.

Hope this helps,
Frank D

PS I am not sure how much additional tow capacity you can expect, it always seems they (auto manuf.) seem to rate standard trannys at a lower tow capacity than an auto.
