Looking To Freshin Up The 4R70W A Little

Recently my 1997 F-150' s tranny is starting to get a little jerky on the shifts mostly the 2-3 shift (which gave a code p0782). I would like to replace all the accumulator springs and other hardware just to freshin up the trans a little. The tranny has 74k on it right now. If someone could provide a list of parts with #'s that would cover me from 1 to OD. Thanks.

I wouldn't put a whole lot of time and money into a 97 transmission. You'll just blow the roller clutch out and feel like you wasted it all. Shudder on 2-3 is a sign of direct clutch problems.

I'd just service it and put mercon V in it.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news that means the shifts is not dropping the rpms it is expected to. probably due to fried direct clutches.

Update To Alan

I noticed on the 2-3 shift that the rpm's do not drop just like you mentioned. So what is the fix for this problem. Sounded like ts going to cost me a bundle as usual.

Does it work when you remove the tune?

You're gonna have to rebuild it.
