Stiff Range selector ($wd)
Hi..this is my first post on the F150 site...
I was looking at a '98 F150 XLT today and thought I had found the truck I was looking for - and even said to the sales guy " it would take something pretty catastrophic for me to change my mind to 'NO' now..." when just that happened. We pulled over to switch from 2H to 4H and I'm glad I did because I needed two arms to move the range lever. I thought with the force I was putting on it I was going to break the thing off. Eventually the sales guy managed to engage 4WD, but it was difficult...and getting back into 2WD was equally as tough.
Truck has 285,000 kilometers on it. Any thoughts? I've never owned a 4x4 before and feel just a bit out of my element...for now.
