Truck "jerks" at low rpm
To those more knowledgeable (thats everyone!)
2002 Scab 5.4L with 54,000 miles. Last week I started having a "jerky" (for lack of better word) ride in low rpms. Happening mainly when I am at speed in 4th, back off the gas and rpm's fall. When I accelerate again is when it happens.
There was a lot going on around here. Rained like hell for days, and was down to fumes in the gas tank and forced to buy gas I usually refuse, and presto...problem arises.
Thought maybe just moisture in plug/coil, or moisture in gas. put 2 bottles of iso-heet in fuel line to get rid of water if that is problem. Drove that tank off and refilled with my "normal" gas. The problem cleared up.
Then weather cleared up, nice and sunny, and warm. Problem came back worse. Could moisture stay in plugs/coils and cause problem...
or do I most likely have a transmission issue? If that is what you think, what might the problem be? I know it's tough to say, but you know better than me.
Also, if it is moisture in plug/coil, wouldn't that cause a misfire/timing issue that would give check engine light? I got no warning light!
Please help!

Try the iso-heet again, although I don't like using alcohol products in my truck.
I put 7oz acetone to every other tank-full; if I suspected water in the fuel (as I suspect is also your problem) I would dump 7oz of acetone into the tank. I've not had problems in Central Texas with the rain we've had this winter and spring.
I've been using acetone for the past 10 months and have had no problems.
You may consider keeping more than 1/4 - 1/2 tank at all times to avoid condensation forming in the tank.
