Stupid question if it's purple

But friend of mine just bought and found his fluid a
dark platium color (greyish)
No trans prob's, seems to work perfect, but a concern

ANYONE ???

Rob on you new motor what weight and brand of oil do you intend to use. do most builders say that 5-30 is to heavy thanks

 

I know when you open a new bottle, its purple. Maybe the color changes after it's been used

 

I believe Robs running 15w40 Delo.

 

Now it's actually a NON Lighting

It's a good friend of Mine, and a worthy truck
(some of my L Bro's have seen it at the Bald Hill Car Shows)
Got a niiiiiiiiiiiiiice Target Motor, Alum Heads, bla bla bla
Poor guy had a little head leak, took it apart and decided to pull the Motor and trans to clean the compartment up, (he's a car show nut) and happen to check the trans oil to find a very strange color ???

So he asked me if there was anything I knew of that WASN'T the normal Redish color, says it smells fine, shifts fine, etc....

Weird .....
