Hello everyone. I need to know how far it is from the front of the bellhousing to the shifter on a M5od type transmission. I am planning to swap a 5 speed into my Crown Vic, and I don't want a Mustang transmission. I just need to know so I don't end up with a shifter coming up in the middle of my dashboard!

On the 2000+ manual tranny it is 17 13/16 inches to the center of the shifter lever.
