master cyl and slave cyl

I have an 89 F150 with the 300ci engine, and the Mazda 5 speed. i just did a clutch change and noticed that that clutch line fitting that goes into the slave cylinder is completely corroded, and it wont fit into the new slave cylinder i put on, so how do i get a new fitting on that line. do i need to buy a new master cylinder and is the fitting part of the master cylinder?

if you have enough "good" brake line left take a small tubing cutter and loose the bad part..dont use a hacksaw..metal chips...get a adapter fitting at any parts store... tell them what your trying to do they will get you what you need...then put the fitting on the brake line BEFORE you re- flair it and you should be good to go..did the same thing on my old F-250 when i lost the front brake line from the master..hydraulics are all the same..brakes, clutch, whatever...zap! (ford made a 352 ci "fe" motor way back when)

well the fitting is not a screw type fitting, it kind of snaps into the slave cylinder (and you need a special tool to remove it), know what i mean?

You should be able to buy just a new line with the fitting that goes into both the master and the slave.
