Trans Fluid Change

I need to know what type of oil I need for my truck trans.?
I got an F-150, 1999, 5.4L, 4X4, Lariat, Flairside.

How many quarts?

I'm not trying to be a **** but the type of transmission fluid should be stated on the dipstick.

Yeah it depends on which transmission you have.

Check your manual. It will tell you what you need to know.

FYI: my 97 F-250, E4OD, uses straight MERCON fluid.
If I dump the torque converter and the trans pan it takes 14 quarts to refill it.
