I am posting this for my dad who has a 01 Powerstroke SD. He has a transgo shift kit and no 1st gear now with the flashing OD light. Any ideas? I've read something about faulty solenoids but is their anyway to test it or replace it.

Did this happen directly after the shift kit install?
The 732 code is incorrect 2 gear.
The 062 don't know about. Are you shure it's a correct code?

 

The shift kit has been in well over 2 years with no problems. The problem started after he pulled a friend's tractor out of a mudhole. He changed the transmission fluid and he said it smelled like burned electrical wire (but no metal in the fluid). Someone told him the shift solenoid might be bad. Is this common and how hard is it to replace?
