good year gatorback?

good year gatorback?

hey everyone,

I am not familiar with trannies, but whaere does the gator back go on on the tranny? do i have to pull it out or anything? any help would be greatly appreciated. and will that squeal definately go away with that gatorback?

As far as I know, A Goodyear "Gator Back" refers to a serpentine belt. And yes, if you replace your existing belt with a Gatorback, It could quite possibly get rid of your squeal.

so, that aquealing noise is not coming from the tranny? that is what it sounds like to me anyway.

The squeal you are hearing on the upshifts is coming from the serpentine belt that runs your accesories.(alternator, etc.)
There is NO belt involved in the transmission. Yes, it can sound like it is coming from the tranny, but it is not, it is the belt I previously mentioned. Go get yourself a Goodyear Gatorback and the squeal will go bye-bye...

had the same problem on upshifts or wot downshifts belt would sqeul got the goodear gaterback and it went away

thanks for the help. i now know what i need to get. i will get a gaotr back real soon. it is kind of embarassing when it squeals. well, thanks again.
