Question Flywheel

Hi:

Well I have replaced my starter and found that a section of the flywheel (about 5 inches of it) has the teethe knawed down and I can't keep the thing from not hitting those teeth.

So, I will replace the flywheel now. A friend has put them on before, but not the model of my truck. What all is involved in doing it? What will have to be removed to get the right access to it? Should only a pro do it?

Thanks!

You know the ring gear can be replaced without replacing the flywheel right? You are going to have to take the transmission out.
