I have a 1990 Ford F-150 4 x 4. My tranny cooler sprung a leak and my tranny died. Changed the fluid and didnt seen anything too bad in the pan. I can't get it to shift into reverse or drive. Once in a while it will shift into reverse and then drive then it dies....help!!

 

Sounds like it's time for a rebuild.

My son's 1990 Auto is slipping in the tranny a bit as well.
