3rd shifts way too early
1997 F150 4X4 Offroad 5.4L 4R100(code E) 109k:
Recently, my truck has started to upshift to 3rd gear way too early. It basically hits second gear and then goes straight to third. This makes in-town driving a little sluggish; plus it tends to want to downshift a lot more often.
Is this something that a filter/fluid change could correct? Or, do I need to replace some springs? Or, is it something else?
