Hey Guys,
I need to replace my slave cylinder and I cannot figure out how to remove the stick shifter from the top of the tranny.
I removed the nut, it didnt loosen anything. I tried double nutting the stud and backing it out , but it would not budge.

Any one know what the trick is?

1996 f150 short bed, 6 cyl, 5 speed.

 

I figured it out...

You just put the nut on the other side and keep tightening until the stud pops loose. Then tap it out the rest of the way.
