gearing question

im soon upgrading to a 305 or 315 tire, once i find out if a 315 will fit with a 3 inch body lift, anyway- ive heard running a larger tire wears on the tranny, which gear should i upgrade to? 410 or 456?

if its an auto tranny with a cooler, i wouldnt worry too much. do you have a manual transmission?
even if you have a manual transmission, i wouldnt worry about transmission wear unless you do an extreme amount of city driving

well a tow package means you are set for the extra load/pulling. get the nastiest set of wheels and tires you can get your hands on!

ive got 315's on my truck and put in through some tough conditions with my stock gears and it runs fine, as far as the transmission goes. you really dont need to worry about gear upgrades until you go bigger than a 35

what gearing have you got now? that will be a big diffrence, if you got 3.73, now then you will notice a loss of power but you should be able to live with it and it shouldnt stress your tranny too bad, if you got 3.55 i would upgrade to 4.10 or if you plan on getting 35" in the future go with 4.56
