My 2001 has the same problem. Drives away from the house fine. At 1st stop sign, tranny slips when accelerating. Only does this when cold.
Also, oil guage doesn't work. After about five minutes, click, and it shoots up to correct reading. Again, only when cold.
Drives fine when warmed up.
Strange.
