We use our '04 F150 with the 4.6L engine to tow our PopUp trailer. I would like to have a shift kit installed into the tranny, however, a local transmission shop says that it will cost us about $1000.00 Cdn because the trans has to come out in order to install the kit. Can anyone confirm this? This seems rather steep to install a trans shift kit. Although, the last time I had one installed was several years ago, it only cost me about $200.00 Cdn back then.
