od light on, but no error codes??

od light on, but no error codes??
My 00 5.4 Scab has had the od light flashing. Sometimes its flashing, other times its not. I keep a obd2 code reader in the truck to check it when it comes on. So today when it comes on, I plug in the reader and its reads PASS, no errors. Anyone have any ideas? Also, I heard from someone else on this board that the old codes will stay in the computer even after they have been corrected. Is this true? I wasnt able to pull out any of the codes that I had previously fixed.

Try moving the shifter around and see if that shuts off the light. Over time my shift lever has loosened up to the point that the OD light comes on, and flickers going over bumps. I found that if I move the lever (not shifting) forward and back I can turn the light on and off. Haven't gotten around to fixing it yet.
