Tonight while driving into work i turn down the radio and i hear just a slight noise coming from the t-case. if i move the shifter for the t-case around slighty the noise changes its not grinding but like a light chatter. Any ideas guys.??? Mobil 1 atf put in about 2000 miles ago so fluid is not the problem.

similar problems

Just read your question and I'm wondering if you've since had this problem checked out. I've had the same problem for almost two years now and it hasn't gotten any worse. I'm a little worried about the cost involved with transfer case work, so I'm scared to take it in, but I'd like to know if it was a simple fix or a costly one.

Normal vibration coming up through the shift lever. Ford has an improved lever that quietens the noise down.
