Ontop of all the other trany probs I have posted about, I am also haveing a prob with the OD button on my shifter. It will not turn the OD off, and no mater how many times I push it the light never comes on either. Any suggestions??

 

The wires have broke in the shifter. You might be able to find the break and fix it, or you have to replace the shifter.

 

Thanks for the reply. Is this the only way the OD light would not operate? It makes sense that this would be the prob, but I didn't know if there was something in the tranny that would cause the OD button to become ignored by the computer. If this is the prob, I will more than likely relocate the button to the dash to avoid having to buy a new shifter.
