need more low end

Hey Guys, I have a 97 f-150 with the 4.2 L. Since changing out my tires from 235s to 285s and adding an air aide system and new exhaust, I have absolutely no bottom end. Was thinking about going for the 373 rear end gears but thought I would ask you guys first. I remember seeing sometime back in here a link where you can calculate the ratio needed according to the tire size ... any one remember where that site was? I really want more bottom end than it originally had and also am thinking about reprogramming the chip with a super chip or diablo reprogrammer? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
