freeplay in clutch changes

I have a 1990 f150 manual 5 speed. I've been finding that the amount of freeplay I have in the clutch keeps changing. Sometimes to engage the clutch i only have to let it out a very small amount, and other times I can almost completely let it out before it begins to catch. It changes every few days or so and i can't figure out what it might be...any ideas?

Hydraulic clutch controls malfunction. The first thing to do is bleed the system. What you are experiencing is the first signs of a leak.
