I have a '89 F-150 with 302 V8, EFI, and 3 speed + overdrive trans, code on door for trans is a "T". Two years ago the origional tranny locked up in overdrive and then after wouldn't shift past 2nd gear. I replaced it with a like transmission out of some large ford product car and only needed to flip the gear selector lever over on the side of the transmission. So, do I have a AOD transmission like I think? and are these prone to give trouble? The second trans is not shifting past 3rd gear now and barely gets to that!
