truck slips backwards

I have a 2000 4.6 and notice that on certain grades when I am at a stop and take my foot off the brake, the truck will start to roll backwards. What would cause this? I thought that the engine and trans would hold it, instead of letting it roll backwards. Any comments and or fixes are appreciated. Still under warranty and 35k miles.

Gravity. Hasn't it always done this? This sounds normal to me.

Yup

I switched to an auto after 5 years of driving a stick and hearing passengers complain about how 'that's why I dont like driving stick, dont wanna roll backwards on a hill.' And to my surprise, my automatic does it too when the grade is steep enough. I started asking around when it first did it because I thought something was wrong with the tranny but it's normal.
