Is it the 4r100 or the E4OD? Or are they the same trans? My window sticker says Elec 4-spd auto trans. It's a 99 eddie bauer with the 5.4L. My trans dipstick says use Mercon and when I look in my owners maual it says 4r70w = mercon V and 4r100 use mercon but when I went to the label decoder it says the E is a E4OD. Any Ideas?

Also can I use lubeguard in the trans since I am experiencing a little Tq Conv Shudder and does it have the tq conv drain plug?

You have a 4R100.
Use Mercon.
Lubegard is fine.
Yes, 1999 has a TC drainplug.

I did all of the work today including U-Joints. NO MORE SHUDDER!
