HELLO,
I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TRANS NOT SHIFTING DOWN TO FIRST WHEN I'M IN DRIVE GEAR. I RECENTLY INSTALLED FTVB IN 01 LIGHTNING THEN THIS PROBLEM STARTED. GREGG SENT ME A REPLACEMENT AND IT'S STILL DOING IT. I DON'T THINK IT'S THE FTVB. WHEN I DRIVE NORMAL NO PROBLEMS. BUT WHEN I WOT THE TRUCK. THEN AT THE NEXT STOP IT WILL NOT SHIFT DOWN TO FIRST. IT WILL STAY IN SECOND UNTIL I STOP A FEW MORE TIMES. SOMETIMES IT WILL SHIFT DOWN IF I HOP ON AND OFF GAS. HAS ANYBODY HAD THIS PROBLEM?

Is anybody having any shifting problems with the '04 F150 5.4? Since the day I got it the tranny seems to slip between 1st and 2nd and then bangs into 2nd and goes into what appears to be limp mode for a second or two. It seems to only do this under very light acceleration, like in traffic.

I've taken it to one dealership and they said they could not reproduce the problem but that they "flashed" the computer?

Any ideas?
