overdrive light flashing
I have a 97 F-150 atuo 4x4
few mods
cat-back
microtuner
electric fans
fipk
On the way home from work yesterday my od light started flashing(today it did it again). The trucks seems a little sluggish but not too bad. Pulled the codes and go a p0503(vehicle speed sensor noisy). Was wondering what I should do, I really don't want to wreck the tranny if I could possibly fix it before something goes real bad.
Any info would be greatly appreciated

What can happen if this vss isnt replaced. I have an expedition with 5" of lift with 35"s. My light will flash ever once in a while on a longer trip. As soon as I shot the truck off and restart it , it goes away. I have been wondering for a while now what could cause this. My transmission has been service recently also.

I don't know if this would cause your blinking light, but with 35's you should have already changed the little plastic gear in your VSS. I got bigger tires for my 97 and the tranny was a little wonky until I changed out the gear.....now it runs fine. If you do a search in wheels and tires you'll find a wealth of info on this one. If this is all old news to you I apologize......
