I have a 03 F150 SCrew FX4, with auto/OD. When I put my truck in reverse, there is a hesitation before it engauges and a slight jerk if I accidentally give any gas. Has anyone else noticed this and should I be worried about it.

I have a 99 F150 SCrew 4x4, with auto/OD.

I have noticed a hesitation if I do the rocking back and forth thing trying to get unstuck. I think I would also get a jerking so I quit doing the rocking quickly thing if my tires dig themselves holes.

I do not know if this is normal though.
