Any other thoughts on this? Here's my experience. I've got a 98 with 90K. After driving about 800 miles my tranny blew up. The truck had been experiencing minor surging for awhile while driving on the highway mainly. So I hoped a new Ford OEM tranny would solve the problem. Nope. I still have a minor surging problem. Should I replace the brand new fluid with the other suggested fluid? THis thing is literally brand new.
I'm aiming towards replacing the wires, plugs and coils to see if I get a difference. I'm praying it still isn't the tranny after all this.

I had a shudder in my tranny for a long time very similar.....on grades where it almost seemed like the tranny could'nt quite figure out whether to change gears or not. I drained and flushed the tranny fluid.....no help.....added one bottle of Wynn's transmission anti-shudder, and like magic.....problem solved....that was more than 35000 kms ago.....stilll shifts like a fream and no shudder. I don't know if I was lucky or what but I'd do a commercial for wynn's in a second.

Eventhough my tranny is new should I try adding some Lubeguard or others? Can I simply attempt to drain a liter of fluid to attain the proper level? I'm wondering if Ford added the wrong fluid.
