Welcome ! Do you mean this sound occurs when you accelerate from a dead stop, turning a corner? Where do you feel the vibration coming from? Is there a noise to describe? Do you have a limited slip rear end and has it been service? What mileage is on your truck? Is your 1st to 2nd shift quiet and smooth in every other circumstance.

Well, you didn't answer my questions, so, I don't know. There are some very qualified drivetrain experts here that can probably help. My first guess was that IF you had a limited slip rear end, then your LS clutches were chattering a bit. Hence, I wondered if you had regularly serviced your rear end. Based on that, you could need a simple gear lube change and properly measured friction modifier. I asked mileage because if you had a high mileage, poorly service, limited slip rear end, then, you could have a worn clutch pack. Go back and try to fill in some of the answers and I'm positive that someone here can help you.

goldiemack,

I have the same problem too. This happens when I make a turn from a dead stop. I do not have the problem when I shift from 1st to 2nd gear. My truck has 122 K miles on it. I have no idea when it was last serviced. It is hard to say where the vibration comes from. It could be from the wheel hopping.
