I have a 93 bronco with 5.0 E4OD and push button 4x4. It will not go into four high or low. I can see it pulling a load on the electrical system(lights dim), but will not lock into gear. Also the trans seems to shift early into drive and OD. Seems to shift ok into Second gear. This is two different problems, but does anyone dealt with this before. Thanks for any info u can give.

 

I think you need to clean and repack your front locking hubs when this happens.

 

FOUND PROBLEM. TOOK OFF THE SHIFT MOTOR ON TRANSFERCASE AND TOOK IT APART. PUT IT BACK TOGETHER AND IT WORKS. GUESS IT WAS JUST STUCK.

Use the 4wd about once a month, and you shouldn't have any more problems. The shift motor tends to get sticky if left alone. Had this problem a few years ago, and haven't had it since.
