Transmission Help

I have a 1994 Ford F150 4X4 with a E40D trans and a Borg-Warner 13-56 transfer case. The truck has 199,650 miles on it, yesterday I was traveling to a local ski resort, I stopped to lock my hubs and then continued up the hill, about a 1/2 miles later I heard this clunk and lost all gears except "Park and Neutral". I had my vehicle towed back to my home and then I started my vehicle to see if I could put it in gear again and now the reverse gear works but no forward gears. What do you think it could be? I have never had any problems with the trans. before, the trans. oil and filter had been replaced about 5,000 miles ago.

P.S.

I only had the hubs locked I didn't put it in 4 wheel drive when this problem happened.

thnxs for any help...

Sounds like you may have been a victim of circumstance, unless your transfer case is messed up too and caused the tranny to fail. My understanding is the transfer case won't engaget he front wheels to the tranny untill it's in 4x4.

But what the heck do I know, I just got screwed outa two grand for being stupid and letting a shop take my tranny apart.
