Line lock valve???
I just bought a Lightning and found out It has some mods I didn't know it had. I talked to the orignal owner today and he said it had a percision 2000 stall tourque converter and a line lock valve. Does anyone know if percision is a good brand and also what does a line lock valve do, I'm a little confused on that. Thanks!!
Line lock. Apply brakes, activate line lock and release brakes. The line lock will keep the front brakes locked till you deactivate it. This allows you to press on the gas to increase the rpm so the stall converter is at optimal launch speed. When you deactivate the line lock the truck will surge forward. It is a racing tool.
Have a look at the Precision site;

Thanks JMC, looks like percision isn't to bad, I need to find out which type I have. And as far as the line lock, yeah that's what I thought of too about holding the breaks and all that but this part the line lock valve is in the transmission and does something like build up more fluid or something.
Is it a line lock or a trans brake? A trans brake locks the tranny in 1st and Reverse.
When you disengage it it releases the pressure to the reverse solenoid and the truck goes.
