If my transmission (which has over 271k miles on it ) goes bad, how much will I have to pay? I'm not paying for labor, as I'll install it myself. I'm just wanting to know how much it would cost just for the transmission.

I don't want to spend too much money on this truck until I get the Stang's new engine huffing and puffing under the hood!

 

I think that's the one I have in my '92 E150 van. I had it rebuilt for just over $1700 last year...if that helps you out.
