Trans problem...

Hey guys,

My 03 S'crew has developed a bit of a problem. It happens when I first drive it after it has been sitting for a long time, mostly when it is 20* or under. After I intially start driving, when I pull up to a redlight, stop sign, etc. to stop, once I start to pull off, it seems as if the trans has "popped" out of gear. The rpms raise and all of the sudden it bangs into gear. It will do this a few times and then it is fine.

Any clues?

Have it checked by dealer

That dosn't sound right. Should shift smooth even at those temps. I have felt my rear limited slip catch when turning corners with some sand on the road from a stop, but that is normal. Check your fluid too, but dont overfill. Good luck.
