Sorry I didn't get to your call back

I got home and had someone over, and was in the basement when the phone rang, blah blah blah, bottom line, I didn't get the call True Blue.

Now, when we talked, I for some reason thought we were talking about the 4R100, I had fogotten it was the 4R70W. Do not fear, I was wrong about the check bals, there are none in the case wormtrail of the 4R70W, I was thinking the 4R100, so go ahead and put it back together, you have it right. Sorry to have scared you about that.

Cool

HI!... I also broke the intermediate shaft in my 4R70-W about 2 years ago. This was on a FRESH rebuild, actually it was on it's 1ST virgin drive after the rebuild leaving the my tranny builders. He told me to go on the highway and BEAT ON IT. So I did and during the 2ND to 3RD upshift I heard a loud BANG and the rear wheels locked up for a split second and then no 3RD gear. My tranny builder tore the tranny apart and rebuilt it again at his cost. The intermediate shaft was broken at the thickest point right next to the larger splined end. We found the cause was the BAUMANN ENGINEERING shift kit I had installed. I then had them install a TRANSGO shift kit. It's funny how the TRANSGO shift kit instructions show a broken intermediate shaft in them and what to do to prevent it from happening. The B/E didn't.

Well got the tranny all together and I felt very strong that all was in the proper place. Well Tranny went back in the truck today and what would ya know, no 3rd or 4th. Thought it could be the OD band but that seems to be hook. So what else should I do or check? I'm lost at this point. I gotta get this thing running, I gotta get to school!! Let me know if anyone has any ideas or info that would help. Thanks
