My 2001 F150 Supercab 4x4 will not go into any forward gear. It goes into reverse with no problems though. The only thing that I can think of that might relate is that I had a battery problem the day before this happened. It necessitated removing the batery, charging it overnight, then replacing it the next day. Ever since, no forward gears, only reverse!
