Torque Management System (TMS)?
Torque Management System (TMS)?
I’ve read a number of articles and posts that mention a Torque Management System (TMS) in Ford (and GM) trucks. I know what PMS (Permanent Mood Swing) stands for and does, but I‘m not sure what TMS does. Is this an electronic means of canceling out the effects of torque multiplication in lower gears to preserve a transmission? If so, how does it work? It’s just one of those little things that keeps me up at night. Thanks!
