Just installed my Drain Plug Kit, but..

has anyone else who did this worried about ground clearence if you mounted it on the bottom of the pan? I placed it right where the rectangular part sticks out from the rest of the pan, just like most of the others I have seen. After bolting it back up, I noticed the plug hangs lower than anything else in the under carridge. Should I be concerned?

It's a valid concern, but there's not a lot you can do now unless you want to buy another pan. 4R70W transmission pan: F6AZ7A194A . $22.43

As long as you don't drive off-road, I don't think you'll have much debre to worry about, except for an armadillo, maybe.... The only ones I've seen mounted at the base that didn't cause me concern were welded in place.

Shouldn't be a problem..I have several friends that put it in the same spot and no problems so far (over a year).
