Transmission shudder?

I am a newcomer to the forums and recognise the benefits. I have a F150 4*4 supercrew which makes a squeaking/rubbing sound in slow speed corners, accompanied by a slight shudder.

It seems almost as if the 4-wheel drive is still engaged. I'm not sure if this also happens at higher speeds as I cannot hear it then.(Possibly due to wind noise.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so what to do about it?

Sounds like U-joints need replacing.

If you have Limited slip, the clutch pack could be locking up. You may need to change the fluid and add the proper additive.

Good luck.

the newer f-150's have inner grease dust seals tat have been known to have a rotational type squeak noise, a quick fiz is to take a grease gun with a needle tip to it and try to force some grease into the seal, its usually a 50/50 shot , usually we end upchaging the seals if the squeak noise comes back
