It is unbelieveable how long it's taking for them to release this thing. I have had one on order for months now. I guess they thought it would be ready for release at the beginning of the summer. It looks like there will be snow on the ground (here anyhow) before I get it. All b!tching aside though, I'm pretty excited!

Hurst shifter

Will this Hurst shifter maake the shifting of the 5 speed smoother/easier? As it is now, I almost get rear ended shifting from 1st to 2nd away from a stoplight....and forget about trying to blow off a "Riceburner" from a standing start.

It is my understanding that the Hurst shifter will make shifting easier, because you wont have to more the shift lever as far, but not necessarily smoother. There will still be all thoes clunky parts in the transmission.

I think that the shift lever, being shorter and bent closer to the driver will be a big improvement. There will also be some ajustability, which may help us to find the way to get the transmission to shift it's best.

Rascallyone, I know what you mean about the 1-2 shift. Sometimes I try to go (the supercharger can get things moving quickly) but get the big grind on the 1-2 upshift. It's embarassing. So most of the time I drive like a grandpa untill I get past the 1-2. I'm really hoping the shifter helps. I will let everyone know what I think, when I get it.

It won't gring if you shift it faster. It will make more of a loud clunk sound.

Mine goes like this; Vroooom CLUNK! Chirp! Vrooom.....
