'86 4spd AOD swpped to '70 C4??

I have an 86 xlt with a 302 converted to carburation. anyway once i got it going I found that the tranny is pretty well shot and slipps really bad. I have a 1970 C4 that I was thinking of putting in it. the question is, does anyone know if there is a difference in length, spline count, and possible gear ratio difference between the AOD and the C4(1st-2.46:1 / 2nd-1.46:1 / 3rd-1:1) any info would be appreciated. thanks
Shane

I'm not sure if this will help voodoo. This is an article about a swap from a C4 to an AOD. But I think it will explain alot of the within each type of transmission.

Hey thanks alot, that does help alot, you dont by any chance know what the stock rear is on these trucks? OH and I noticed your from wichita KS. I am a Wichitan also. hopefully I will try to get that tranny swapped this weekend. I think the rear is pretty low geared so I wont be doing much Hgwy drivin. thanks again

I don't know what the stock ratio is for your truck. If you give me the code off the sticker on the door jamb, I can look it up. If it still has the original rearend in it, then the tag should still be on it.
