It's been about 2 years since I changed tranny and torque converter fluid. What is the recommended interval to change fluid? I want to keep it running as smooth and problem free for as long as possible.

Any input is always appreciated.

 

The fluid is 'supposed' to be changed at 30k per the dealer. If the dealer does it ; it should be MUCH easier to have replaced if it cr@ps out on you...- they will have the servicing on record. Of course this is good if you still have a warranty or an extended warranty. Had mine done by the dealer just for this reason.
I think the fluid 'life' is probably 2 years - really don't know.

The life of the fluid depends on the temperatures it's been subjected to. If you tow regular and don't have a large tranny cooler you will have to change it more often.

Curious charts, I wonder why they claim the fluid/oil life is reduced ad the lowest temperature.

 

I can only think this has to do with how well the fluid 'flows' and how the fluid lubricating properties are different (read= not as efficient) at the lower temps?!
