Mark VIII torque converter in a F150?

Well, getting my tranny rebuilt. Looking to free up some horsepower while it is opened up. Going with a shift kit and the guy doing it, (90% of his work is Ford tranny's) recommended the torque converter and flywheel out of a 98+ Lincoln Mark VIII. He said it was a smaller torque converter and a lighter flywheel. He didn't know the exact lbs but claims he has done it in the past. Said it is the best bang for the buck compared to the costs for tconverters upwards of $600 for the 4R70W. All of the parts are FoMoCo and he is going to warranty the parts and labor for 12 mos.

Anyone got experience with this or know any "Cautions" with doing this? I am all for it, although it cost me $250 more for this setup.

Thanks,

I will let all know the results next Saturday!!
