Trans-Go Shift Kit - with or without video tape
Trans-Go Shift Kit - with or without video tape
I have a 2000 F150 with the 4R70W transmission.
This is a question for those of you who have installed the Trans-Go shift kit yourself. My question is did you find it necessary to do the install with the video tape or are the written instructions good enough to follow without it? Thanks in advance for your response.

I used the video tape as a support. I took an old TV and VCR to the garage and as I went through the writted instructions I played and replayed the video to enforce what I thought I had read.
Get the vidio. You save money without it but there are things covered in the vidio that are not on the instructions. Also, there is nothing like actually seeing it before you do it. Problem with the vidio is its made with an earlier transmission (at least it was with the 4r70w) and some things are a little different. Still it is a good help.
Hey WLF, long time no see.
Yes there are a few members who already have the factory tech valve body for the 4R70W. Greg has been offering them just recently.
Heres a link to a search.
Good luck.
