Tranny slipping?

Hi all,
I just got my truck two weeks ago off ebay. When the truck was delivered and I drove it I noticed that when I accellerate, the truck starts to shudder, feels like the tranny is slipping. When I take off from a dead stop there is no noticable slippage, only after I have reached a cruising speed of 35mph or more and try to accellerate. I haven't taken it in to a shop yet but will soon. Does anybody have ideas? Am I looking at replacing the tranny or will it be repairable? I have the A4OD tranny and the truck is 4x4. Thanks for your input.

Well, I took the truck to a local tranny shop and they ran a diagonistic. Turns out the tranny is fine. When they ran the diagnostic, it came up with something like 5 engine codes. I told them to go ahead and service the tranny. At least I don't have to replace it, but now I have to take the truck to the local dealer to get the engine worked on.

I had a problem similar to that. when I drove around town normally it was fine. But if I tried to accelerate hard it would act like it was slipping . Turns out the transmission was ok. But, the fuel pump in the tank was going out and it could not supply the engine with enough fuel. Swapped out the fuel pump of course the tank was nearly full. And it was good to go.
