schaeffer oils
I found a web site through the f150online boards that was all about an individual comparing different oils, lubricants, filters, etc through a series of test. One of the products he consistently uses for his side by side comparisons is "Schaeffer". Has anybody ever used any of their products? (a quick search of the board returned 0 results).

It's time for me to change the fluids in the rear diff, trans and transfer case and I'm just trying to decide who to go with. Which brings me to two other questions:
1. How often do you change the front diff? I've never read a post on here about someone doing that.
2. I've read post that say some techs suggest changing the weight of the rear diff fluid to 75w-90 while some say go with the manual. Does anyone have any real proof that the weight should be changed?
Thanks,

I'm hoping someone answers you as I would like to change my diffs to synthetic by fall. I have a new B4000 and am wanting to put syns in the trans and diffs. I believe that www.bobistheoilguy.com is somehow associated with schaeffer oils, maybe sells them. I'm not positive on this though, just thought I saw something that made me think that. I wouldn't discount his opinion but when someone sells something that they tout you have to be somewhat skeptical. That said, a lot of guys on that board like this brand. I'm considering the amsoil or m1 for my application but if anyone has 'proof' that schaeffer is better I'd like to see that too.
