shifter assembly

Hellow all tech gurus', i wanting to throw a little flare in the interior of my pickup, i wanna put a ranger steeringwheel and a ranger shifter in the truck, i gotta 5-speed, and i was wondering if a ranger shifter would be compatable with the 150 setup? i looked at it, it looks like one big told to me that holds the shifter to some kidna linkage, but can this be done?

Do you mean that you want to replace the lever? Remove the nut and install it on the other side of the bolt. Tighten it and it will forve the bolt out. Remove the bolt and the lever. I do not know if the lever from the Ranger is a direct fit or not.
What is so special about a ranger shift lever?

That's fine. I think the ranger shifter is a bit shorter. Let me know if it fits andwhat it feels like shifting with a shorter lever.

I just thought of something else.

If the lever angle is different you may be hitting your knuckles on the dash going into 1st, 3rd and 5th. Or you are too far back in 2nd, 4th and Reverse.
