trans problen need help please

Angry trans problen need help please

ok here goes after droping off my trailer at the storage place yesterday as i drove away my truck wouldnt shift into 3rd gear
also if i let off the gas it would then go into nuetral and rev out and wouldnt engage into gear untill it slowed down to around 20 mph
anyway i checked all my fuses and they are fine in the cab and under the hood has anyone heard of this before?
i managed to limp it home with the rpms at 3000 doing 40 at best
tranny and rear end fliuids are full
basicly i have first and second gear reverse
its a 97 150 5.4 with 84000 miles auto trans and no i dunno what one it has nore how to find out
so any help would be appreciated

When I lost 3rd gear and Od, it owuld go into 3rd every now and then, and it would neutral out once the fluid got warmed up. In my situation the tranny was gone, and I needed a rebuild.

well its gotta be something stupid like an electrical problem because it was fine and then all the sudden it was messed up
the tranny fluid isnt burned or discolored

when there is an electrical problem, most of the time the OD lamp blinks.

well i discovered that i have a e40d tranny if that helps and i will have to check that light i havent drove it obviously in 3 days and i havent started it either but when i was driving it home i didnt notice it
