Belt slip after transgo shift kit

I recently installed a trans go reprogramming kit for my 02 5.4 liter. Problem is that in 02 on some of the f-150's ford (for some reason) went to a six rib serpentine belt instead of an eight. Now whenever the truck shifts even slightly harder than normal the belt slips a little. Its not a big deal but it is very annoying and I want to put a stop to it. Someone said underdrive pulleys would help because they would grip the belt better but when I spoke to someone at asp they said that it would probably just make the belt slip worse. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what I can. Please give me any info you can (parts price anything). Please help.

I have the same problem with my truck, I had the dealer replace the belt about 20,000 miles ago, but it is happening again. I will get a goodyear gatorback belt next, since many people on the boards recommend it to eliminate this problem.

Since this thread is already going, dare I ask someone for the part number of the belt?

Cool

You don't need a part #.

Go to Auto Zone and ask for a Gatorback belt for your truck.

There is only 1...
